SUBVERT Holiday!
etc. Hu i broke One, Cordon Wi Socialist Challenge business manager FOR most of the year, socialists lead extremely hectic lives. No wonder then that we look forward to the summer as a time when we can slow down the pace for a few weeks.
¡vost trade union oran ches, trades councils and Camoads up shop during August. And while go away for our holidays this vear. we will all want to have a few weeks respite from the usual round of political activity.
Unfortunately, for the newspapers or ine lell, tne summer can spell financia trouble. We depend totally upon the commitment of our supporters to sell Socialist Challenge regularly each week to workmates, fellow students and muenos as wet as. in saes at regular pitches outside factories. in shon ping centres, at bus and tube stations.
Holiday With both sellers and buyers taking their holidays at different times all through the many of the regular sales we rely on can go by the board, losing hundreds of pounds.
Socialist Challenge recognises that our sellers need an annua break and the paper itself will be closing down for two weeks issue zS July next issue 13 August) when we reckon most of our supporters will be holidaying.
Anne came me. don't want to see our level weeks! On the collary we wall our sub porters to use the summer to sell one paper more each week. We want to boost our summer sales to give flying start when political activity gets back into full swing September.
